Since May 9, 2024, some of our creators contacted us regarding a sudden increase in Wise's fees. We did some investigation and found out that currency conversion fee and send money from Wise balance are recently adjusted. Essentially, the fixed fee increased while variable fee is lowered for most currencies. In order words, Wise is deterring users from withdrawing small amounts and aim to hold your cash for longer period in Wise wallet. The biggest difference is the change in transacting with Chinese currency, CNY, which both fixed and variable fees increased dramatically. Please inspect fee changes for each popular currencies.
